So originally, this whole week was just a snappy conversation between the jailed trio and the sheriff, culminating in, well… spoiley stuff. I scrapped those scripted pages and came up with the cartoon silliness you’ll see today and on Friday. It all ends in the same place, but hopefully it’s more fun getting there.
Next Friday is the end of chapter one. This whole chapter is really just a prologue. Chapter two will take us in a new direction…
So, I’m having entirely too much fun voice casting Strewth. In my head J. Michael Tatum does the voice of the fox. Not like his Black Butler role, but some of his lighter ones.
I had a compulsive need to share this with the internet.
I was going to be really proud that I knew a voice actor you didn’t, but then I realized you probably watch a minimal amount of Anime.
I was sad the other day because I realized that since Miyazaki movies are distributed by Disney, they get actors and not voice actors to do the voices. They’re well cast, but it’s again the death of the voice actor that makes me sad, since anime dubs have proven they are still around and there’s still talent.
Agreed. It was really the worst one, dub-wise… Liam Neeson was not fit well to the character at all. The best dubs were probably My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away .

I had to look him up. Seems like a good fit.

Yeah, I really like the visual presentation Disney gives those Miyazaki films, but the star-studded dubs are really distracting. Kinda ruined Ponyo.

Love the comic. Thanks for the ad at LegendofBill.com and bringing me here!
Thanks, David! I’m a fan of all your strips.
