If you’re drawing a long form graphic novel, just have all your main characters’ hands blown off in a freak accident in the first panel.
Hey, look! Somebody added a new entry to TV Tropes!
Also, your left index finger looks freakishly long. Is that part of the joke or just delicious irony?
You’re the one who posts those Strewth! references to TVTropes? I get steady traffic from those. Thanks.
So far, I have only posted that one. Are there others?
Yeah, there are at least two others. The one that gets me a lot of traffic is the entry for “Bowdlerise” which links to my MPAA/slang comic.
I can’t find the other one.
Here’s a wallpaper inspired by today’s comic.
So…this “explains” Rob Liefeld’s approach to drawing feet?…
More like, his approach to not drawing feet.
There are many many entertaining blog posts about Liefeld’s art, but I think this one is the most fun.
You know, I just realized something. Most Homestar Runner characters don’t have arms. And Strong Bad wears boxing gloves. So, yeah.
Recent episodes of Penny Arcade TV featured Mike Krahulik talking to Scott Kurtz about his trouble with hands. I think he was just being overly humble, though. He’s a great cartoonist.
There is a Penny Arcade TV?
Can I be brutally honest with you? I don’t like Penny Arcade and don’t get all the hype.
I used to feel that way, but they won me over. I don’t think it’s the “best webcomic evar”, but they are very funny guys. And Mike’s art has come a long way over the years.
How did they win you over?
I just read them for a few years, and eventually I “got it.”
I wonder whether that will work with Strewth!.
